one fine night, while waiting for hubby at the office (this was wayyy beyond working hours – just so you know teeheee), i decided to play with my naked 2 palette. i remember watching a tutorial on smokey eyes on youtube and decided to give it a go.
just a background – i rarely wear smokey eyes, i feel that with my dark circles and eye bags, it doesnt really look nice on me. so i try to steer clear from smokey eyes (especially black color).
anyway, here’s the end result:
please ignore the red spots on face. was extremely PMS-ing and my foundation has worn off. didn’t retouch my foundation. just powdered my face and that’s it 🙂
closeup on the eyes:
products used:
chanel vitalumiere foundation
MAC studio finish concealer in nw25 (undereyes)
MAC studio finish concealer in nc35 (on face)
Laura mercier mineral pressed powder in rich vanilla
MAC espresso on brows
NARS luster blush
UD naked 2 (blackout and chopper)
MAC Blacktrack fluidline
Mac Hug Me lipstick
Mac viva glam VI lipglass
so what do you think? 🙂 hubby seems to like it sooo might be doing more smokey eye looks. but of course cant wear this at work! haha it’s just too much. 😉
feel free to leave a comment if you have questions 😀

I just realized that i bought a number of items from @digitaltraincase over the past few weeks! Hehe im in makeup heaven right now 🙂
Aside from the nail polishes i got (refer to previous post), i also got my hands on the urban decay (UD) naked 2 palette!!!
Ive been playing with it the entire week, testing and trying to figure out if i like it as much as the original Naked palette… We’ll see… Ill post a full review next. But on top my head i can say that Naked 2 is more cool toned while the original is warmer. Also, as pretty as the colors are, i think the shadows in naked 2 are great as lid colors… But not for contouring / crease color.
Here’s my FOTD using the naked 2:
Products used:
Koh den goh aqua foundation
Mac studio finish concealer in nw25
Mac mineralize skin finish natural
Mac espresso on brows
Mac blush in peachykeen
UD naked 2 (piston and blackout)
Mac cosmo lipstick
Mac viva glam VI lipglass

i am sooo in love with adele. i just absolutely ADORE her – i love her music, her voice, her accent, i just love everything about her! 🙂
and she looked amazing during the Grammy’s (2012)! she was so elegant and glamorous in her black Giorgio Armani dress. and her makeup is just fab!!! 🙂
so today, i did an adele inspired look 😀 it’s more toned down than her makeup in the pic, after all, i am a working girl. :p (might look weird wearing false lashes and a heavily contoured face to work! haha)
here is my version… hope you like it! 🙂
(i know i shouldnt have added the blush. but i just cant get thru the day without!)
products used:
The Body Shop’s Extra Virgin Minerals in 208 golden vanilla
MAC Espresso on brows
MAC Rice Paper, Cork and Espresso on eyes
MAC Blacktrack fluidline
NARS Laguna to contour
Body Shop Baked Blush in Coral
MAC Russian Red on lips
i hope you like it! 😀 i think Brule would have been better than Rice Paper but i left it at home! hehe.
Happy V day everyone!

i’ll TRY to make these as vast as possible – ranging from natural, smokey or glittery eyes. i might also be playing with colors a bit. 🙂 im sooo excited! 😀

i posted a pic in my personal account in FB yesterday and i can’t believe the amount of likes it got! 😀
here’s the picture: (i forgot to bring my camera so i had to use my BB! sowee)
products used:
Face: TheBalm Face Primer, Makeup Forever HD foundation, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural (to set foundation), TheBalm TimeBalm in medium, MAC brow pencil in Brunette, Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Java (used as eyebrow shader), NARS Laguna bronzer (contour), Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty, TheBalm Mary-lou Manizer
Eyes: MAC eyeshadows in Patina, Rice Paper and Golden Gaze (semi-precious collection), Nars Cordura, Bobbi Brown Caviar ink gel eyeliner, Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Lips: MAC Cosmo lipstick and clear lipglass
How to:
1. Apply foundation all over face, concentrating on areas which need more coverage. (i used beauty blender to apply MUFE HD foundation)
2. Apply timebalm concealer to lighten dark circles and to cover blemishes.
3. Set with MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural.
4. Apply Patina all over the lids.
5. Apply Rice Paper at the inner corners of your eye.
6. Apply the darker shade of Cordura on the crease and a little bit over the crease (to emphasize the color). Blend well.
7. Apply Golden Gaze to the outer corners of the eyes. Tip: Draw an inverted V or > at the corner of the eyes then blend blend blend! Also, apply to the outer half of your lower lashes (to emphasize the shape of your eyes)
8. Apply eyeliner on your top lashes, wing out a bit for more drama.
9. Waterline your eyes (top and bottom).
10. Fix your eyebrows, i emphasized the arch of my brows to (hopefully) make my face look leaner.
11. Curl your lashes and apply mascara!
12. Contour your face by applying bronzer to the hollows of your cheeks. Tip: do the fish face and look for the part of your face that is sucked in. that’s the hollow of your cheeks!
13. Apply blush to the apples of your cheek. Since i am going for the smokey eye effect, i applied a very natural looking blush to balance out the look.
14. Optional: Lightly apply powder to blend the bronzer and blush and to set your makeup. If you want a dewy look, you can skip this step.
15. Apply lipstick of your choice. Again, I opted for a natural looking lip color, you want to highlight only one area of your face and not all
16. Apply lipgloss in the middle of your bottom lips and smack your lips together. This will give you the illusion of fuller lips!
i really like this kind of look although it does take a lot of work, especially the eye makeup! 😀
BTW the dress, i got from mango :p
hope you guys liked this look!
